These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all purchases, services and website usage. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by the Terms below. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
Savoir-Faire Jewellery (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian jewellery designer and manufacturer specialising in bespoke and made-to-order pieces. “You”, “your”, or “customer” refers to the purchaser of goods or services.
2. Orders & Acceptance
- Orders placed online, in-store, or via consultation are offers to purchase.
- A contract is formed once we issue an order confirmation or invoice.
- We may decline an order where stock is unavailable, pricing errors occur, or fraud is suspected.
3. Pricing
- All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
- Prices may change without notice; however, confirmed orders will not be affected.
- While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we reserve the right to correct any pricing or typographical errors.
4. Payment Terms
We accept major credit/debit cards and other payment options listed at checkout. A50% deposit payment must be made before production commences and payment must be received in full before dispatch begins unless otherwise arranged.
5. Production & Lead Times
- Bespoke and made-to-order jewellery requires production time, generally 4–8 weeks depending on complexity.
- Production estimates are guidelines only and may vary due to gemstone sourcing or seasonal workload.
- We will keep you informed if delays occur.
6. Shipping & Delivery
- We ship Australia-wide using insured, trackable methods.
- Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary by carrier and time of year.
- Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered or collected.
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.
- The goods are fully ensured while in transit by the mail carrier.
7. Change-of-Mind Returns
Ready-to-wear items
- Change-of-mind returns or exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is:
- unused and unworn
- in original packaging
- accompanied by proof of purchase
- unused and unworn
Not eligible for return:
- Bespoke or custom-made jewellery
- Items that have been altered, resized, engraved or worn
- Earrings (for hygiene reasons)
- Loose stones selected for custom work
Change-of-mind returns will be issued as a store credit unless required otherwise by Australian law.
8. Consumer Guarantees (Faulty Items)
All products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:
- a repair, replacement or refund for goods with a major fault; and
- a repair or replacement for goods with a minor fault.
If you believe your product is faulty, notify us as soon as possible so we can assess the item.
9. Warranty
We provide a manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
This warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear
- damage caused by impact, misuse, or improper care
- loss of stones caused by accidental damage
- repairs or alterations performed by another jeweller
Warranty duration is stated on your invoice or product documentation, our typical warranty lasts for 5 years from the date of delivery.
10. Repairs, Resizing & Aftercare
- We offer professional resizing and repair services.
- One complimentary resize may be included with your purchase (subject to design limits).
- Resizing outside allowable ranges may require remaking the ring at an additional cost.
- Jewellery should be checked annually; we offer ongoing cleaning and inspection services.
11. Bespoke & Custom-Made Jewellery
- Bespoke pieces are created to your specifications and are non-refundable unless faulty.
- A deposit is required before design work begins.
- Once production begins, changes may incur additional costs.
- CAD designs, renderings, or sketches are conceptual and may differ slightly from the final handmade piece. This difference is marginal.
12. Diamonds, Gemstones & Certification
- All diamonds and gemstones are sourced from reputable suppliers.
- Where applicable, certification (e.g., GIA, IGI) will be included with your purchase.
- Natural and lab-grown stones may display unique characteristics; these are not considered faults.
13. Valuations & Insurance
We recommend insuring your jewellery once received.
We can provide a valuation or certificate to assist with insurance requirements for a small additional fee.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including images, designs, text and branding — is the property of Savoir-Faire Jewellery and may not be reproduced without express written permission.
15. Privacy
We respect your privacy and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.

16. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss.
Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased, except where Australian Consumer Law applies.
17. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, supplier delays, or transport disruptions.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the time of your order will apply to that purchase.
